Can students, staff, or faculty from other UM System schools use the UMKC Libraries if they are located in Kansas City?

Yes, students, staff, or faculty affiliated with a UM System school may use Miller Nichols Library.

  • To log on to a computer at UMKC, users with an account on another campus domain may need to follow these steps.
  • Printing is not available.
  • On the UMKC campus, UM System users can log in to the eduroam wifi network using their UM System username and password, in the form of 
  • UM System users can borrow books and other materials from the UMKC Libraries by visiting a service desk. Photo ID required. 
  • To have materials from other UM System Libraries delivered to the UMKC Library, or to request retrieval of books stored in the UMKC Library’s robotic storage unit, UM System users should place requests in the MOBIUS catalog. For Pickup Library choose “MOBIUS - University of Missouri-Kansas City.” For Pickup Location choose “UMKC, Nichols Library Circ.”
