Who is LaBudde and how do I pronounce it?

Pronounced luh-BUD-ee, Dr. Kenneth J. LaBudde was a Professor of History, who served as Director of UMKC Libraries from 1950 to 1985. He was instrumental in the building of the General Library, dedicated in 1969, and its completion as the Miller Nichols Library, dedicated in 1991. His subject expertise helped to shape the foundation book collection for the library department named after him, dedicated in 2002.
