How do I log in to the UMKC library?

Logging in to use UMKC Library resources feels like logging in to any UMKC service and uses your UM System username and password, or Single Sign On (SSO).
You don't have to log in before you begin your library research. You will be prompted to log in with your UM System username and password when you follow a link from the library website that takes you to a research tool for UMKC users only, or to a resource the library subscribes to. Start from the Library Search bar on the library website homepage, select a subject-specific Database to search, or identify research tools and sources for your topic using one of our Research Guides.
Links to library resources are configured with the library's authentication system, OpenAthens, which runs in the background to connect your UMKC account to all of our resources so you can log in only one time per browsing session.
